15 Best Bachelorette Weekend Activities

Ah, the bachelorette party! It really is a time-honored tradition for you to celebrate getting married to the love of your life with your favorite people.

These days bachelorette parties are a hot topic of conversation, but I believe as long as you’re up front with your friends about your plans (and understanding if people aren’t able to join you) that they can be an enjoyable experience for all.

After you officially choose when you’re doing your bachelorette party and it’s locked in on everyone’s calendar, it’s time to start planning how you’ll spend your time.

I got married last year and did my bachelorette weekend in NYC. We had so much fun and if you’re also thinking of bringing your bach to New York, I have a whole post where I outlined what we did here.

We ended up doing a Friday evening through Sunday morning agenda, which I thought was the perfect length.

But if your friends are up for a longer trip, you might find yourself wondering how to fill the time. That’s where this post comes in!

15 Best Bachelorette Weekend Activities

I’ve put together a list of 15 bachelorette activities that you can do no matter where you’re hosting your party (with a few honorable mentions below that are location-dependent) so you can speed up your bachelorette planning process.

Morning wellness activities

1. Yoga or pilates class

Kick off the day with a group yoga or pilates session.

You can find a local studio where you are hosting your bachelorette weekend or potentially look into hiring an instructor to come to your AirBnB or hotel.

2. Spa day

Bachelorette weekends get a reputation for being intense with back-to-back activities, so why not get pampered with your besties?

Think about making time for massages, manicures or facials. On a budget? DIY it at home with sheet masks and polish or press-on nails.

3. Healthy girl brunch

Start the day with a refreshing brunch.

You can grab ingredients for smoothies or acai bowls, make your own avocado toast toppings bar, and treat yourselves to your favorite iced coffee, matcha drink or mocktail.

4. Hot girl walk

What’s better than walking and talking with your girlfriends? For a dose of sunshine and gossip, plan a scenic walk around the neighborhood where you’re staying.

You can go for a nature walk or a stroll about town and yes, a coffee in hand is a prerequisite.

Creative activities and games

5. Custom Jeopardy game

Create a personalized bachelorette Jeopardy game with questions about the bride, her favorite things, and funny memories.

We did this for my bachelorette weekend and had a blast. I have a whole separate blog post with detailed instructions of how to create your own here.

6. DIY craft session

Organize a DIY session where the group can create something fun together to commemorate the weekend.

You could decorate canvases, taper candles, glasses, t-shirts or tote bags or create some friendship bracelets with inside jokes and your names on them.

7. Wine and paint night

Purchase some canvases, paints and brushes and have yourself a wine and paint night! Channel your inner Frida Kahlo and create a memento to take home from the weekend.

You could all try to paint the groom as a silly activity or if you want to get studious, consider hiring a local artist to help you recreate a masterpiece.

8. Group photoshoot

Set up a professional or DIY photoshoot to take some cute photos together, especially if you don’t have a ton of photos with your whole friend group.

You can all dress in a theme or just capture some pics of everyone in their cute going out outfits. Think of the Instagram posts!

Evening going out activities

9. Fancy dinner out

Reserve a table at a trendy restaurant for an elegant dinner. It’s a perfect time to dress up and enjoy a more sophisticated evening.

You know I love a theme—but instead of giving people a strict dress code, share some outfit inspiration or color ideas for people so they can find something fabulous in their own closet.

10. Karaoke night

Whether you rent a private karaoke room or hit a local bar, karaoke is always a hit for a bachelorette weekend.

We did this for my bachelorette weekend and not only was it a fun way to get to know the group more, but it was much more cost-effective than renting a space or table at a bar.

11. Cocktail-making class

Every girl should know how to make a signature drink!

Sign up for a mixology class with a local spot or hire a private bartender where you can learn to make the bride’s favorite drinks before a night out.

12. Nightclub or bar crawl

Listen, this is a classic bachelorette activity and even though this list proves it’s far from the only thing you can do, sometimes you just need a night to let loose with your besties.

Finish the evening with a bar crawl or head to a nightclub to dance the night away.

13. Tarot card readings

Hire a professional or have your most woo woo friend in the group do tarot card readings for a mystical, fun way to bond.

You’ll get to know each other more and you can even share laughs over predictions.

14, Movie marathon

Set up a cozy movie marathon with the bride’s favorite films, complete with popcorn, comfy blankets, and matching pajamas (bonus points if the girls can re-wear those for getting ready the morning of the wedding!)

15. Hibachi dinner

I have never done this before but please someone invite me to one of these, because it looks insanely fun!

Hire a private chef to host an at-home hibachi dinner for a fun, interactive meal where everyone can watch their food being cooked right in front of them, complete with onion volcanos and sake.

Honorable mentions for specific locations:

  • City bachelorette: if you’re hanging out in a city, I highly recommend checking to see if there are any local comedy clubs you can book a table at

  • Beach bachelorette: my cousin did her Bachelorette at the New Jersey shore and we had a fun pool party at a local hotel

  • Rural bachelorette: if you’re in a more scenic area, booking a driver and hitting up some local wineries could make for a fun afternoon afternoon together

This mix will ensure that everyone has a chance to unwind, get creative, and enjoy some fun, lively nights.

Don’t sweat the small stuff and have fun!

Tips for planning your bachelorette:

Poll the group

Ask your bridesmaids some questions to narrow down your options in terms of free dates, general location, and what they want to do.

Choose your location

Pick the destination and extend the invite to your friends.

Send an approximate budget

Be up front about the approximate cost of the trip and what the group might need to pay for.

Share the details

I created a bachelorette PDF document that I shared with my bridesmaids ahead of my bach weekend that outlined hotel details, approximate schedule and outfit ideas.

Leave room to breathe

Activities can be fun but some of the best memories from my bachelorette weekend were while we were getting ready to go out or fighting the late night giggles.

Have fun!

Don’t forget that at the end of the day your best friends are coming to celebrate you so relax and don’t sweat the small stuff!
