An Apartment Update: Creating a Cozy Bedroom

It’s been almost two months since I moved to my new apartment, but one thing I’ve come to realize is that you can’t decorate an apartment overnight—no matter how badly you might want to. I love when a bedroom can simultaneously be bright and sunny but also cozy and welcoming and I feel like most of that vibe begins and ends with your bed. We spend about a third of our lives in bed, which is, you know, a LOT of time! As I get a little older (lol, I say this as a 24-year-old, but hey, I live with my boyfriend and I have my own business so I still like to think I qualify as an Adult Person in that regard) I want to start investing more in quality rather than quantity and making sure I’m choosing the best possible items to have in my apartment.

I don’t know about you but whenever I hear the word “organic” I automatically think that it means something will be more expensive. Case in point: the organic avocados at the grocery store always cost more than the regular avocados, right? Certified organic cotton is grown naturally so it doesn’t have any pesticides, fertilizers, and Genetically Modified Organisms. Not to mention it saves water and energy, which reduces your carbon footprint, which is a major win.

I’ve honestly been bringing my coffee to bed in the mornings to spend an extra few minutes in this cozy spot as I catch up on Instagram DM’s or look over my first few emails of the day.
