Face Mask Face Off: How 3 Masks Compare
I am excited to be bringing you another edition of my beauty series "Face Off" where I compare three of the same type of product and share what I think about them. While I do love individual product reviews I find that sometimes it helps to compare them to other similar ones and see what elements of each are better suited for you. As you may remember a few weeks ago I tested out a sheet mask subscription service and ever since I've been on a face mask kick, so why not examine a few of my favorites and compare them.
Packaging:
Innsifree's Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask in Calming comes in a lilac-colored tube with a flip top cap.
Glossier's Mega Greens Galaxy Pack comes in a little tub with a screw-on top.
Boscia's Luminizing Black Mask is in a sleek, black tube with a twist-off cap.
Texture:
The Innisfree mask is super thin and smooth and goes on very nicely.
Glossier's mask is very thick and feels like spreading a chunky guacamole on your face.
The Boscia mask is thick when you first squeeze it out of the tube but applies in a super thin layer which you then peel off when you're done.
Price:
Innisfree's mask costs $11.
Glossier's mask is $22.
Boscia's mask is $34 (however this one was gifted to me through Influenster).
The Verdict:
These are all great for different reasons! If I had to pick one, I'd probably choose the Glossier mask because you can watch the formula literally get absorbed by your skin. I feel like it does the most. The peel-off mask from Boscia definitely helped smooth out certain areas of my face. The Innisfree mask makes my face look a delightful shade of lavender and it also reduces redness, but in my opinion it's the least effective.
