The Perfect Summer Jeans Shopping Guide

New York rule #1: even on the hottest summer days, jeans are not only totally acceptable but actually a go-to wardrobe choice.

I got to thinking about the perfect summer denim this past weekend and here’s how I picture my perfect pair of denim for May-August: High-waisted, light-wash, and slightly distressed.

I’ve personally been loving this pair from DL 1961 that perfectly encompass the ideal I just described. Seriously, I’ve worn them several days in a row.

Once you have that perfect denim base, the outfits come easily.

You can pair them with a crop top, a plain white T-shirt, or even a long-sleeve mesh top for an edgier feel.
