Face Wash Face Off: How 3 Products Compare
Hey all, I hope you’ve had a great week and are ready for a well-deserved weekend!
In a recent poll over on my Insta Stories I asked you all what content you want to see more of and a ton of you requested more skincare content.
I have recently been alternating between a few face washes and I decided to share my thoughts with all three of them with you!
If you’ve been a reader for a while you probably already know that I am a longtime fan of Glossier (read the post about how Glossier changed my skincare routine for the better and read the post where I talk about every single Glossier product) and their Milky Jelly Cleanser.
I was recently sent these other two that I’ve been wanting to try out. Saturday Skin’s Rise + Shine Purifying Cleanser and Frank Body’s Creamy Face Scrub.
So, let’s compare!
Packaging:
Frank Body’s Creamy Face Scrub comes in a tube with a twist-off top.
Glossier’s Milky Jelly cleanser comes in a plastic container with a pump.
Saturday Skin’s Rise + Shine Purifying Cleanser comes in a tube with a flip top.
Texture:
Frank Body’s Creamy Face Scrub is a light brown color and has coffee grounds sprinkled throughout it.
Glossier’s Milky Jelly cleanser feels exactly how it sounds: it’s a clear jelly-like substance.
Saturday Skin’s Rise + Shine Purifying Cleanser is a white, super creamy product.
The Verdict:
Since I’ve been using the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser for about a year now, I’m definitely biased towards it.
The texture feels so nice against my skin and the results I get from it are awesome.
For this blog post I tried the other cleansers twice a day for one week each, so I can’t speak to long-term use for those, but I will tell you what I thought!
I really liked Saturday Skin’s cleanser.
The best part about it is that you really only need a tiny amount because it really builds as you rub it in.
I used way too much the first time I tried it. I thought it smelled nice and did a good job of making my skin feel refreshed.
I also liked the Frank Body cleanser, but compared to the others I’d give it a third place finish.
The one thing that I didn’t love was the texture.
Although it felt like I was really cleaning my face when I scrubbed, it was a bit too rough for my skin. I like the idea of being able to wake up your face with actual coffee, but I just know my skin is a bit more sensitve.
I’ve also tried some of their other products that I really enjoy, like the Glow Mask.
What’s your go-to face wash? Have you tried any of these?
yours,
Austen

I haven’t tried any of these but have been wanting to try the glossier one! I feel a bit more confident after reading this!

I definitely say it’s worth a try! If you order other stuff from them you can also get a sample of the cleanser!
Oh I’m curious to try the Saturday Skin! I use Frank Body’s actual cleanser and LOVE it. The coffee face scrub is supposed to only be used maybe 2x a week since it’s a rough exfoliator not a cleanser 🙂
Yeah using it twice a week instead of every day definitely makes more sense. The Saturday Skin one is super creamy if you’re looking for one to contrast Frank Body!
