Welcome to Keep Calm and Chiffon, a digital world I created in 2012. I’m Austen and I’m a blogger, podcaster, writer, editor, and content creator.

The original purpose of my blog was to document my outfits over a summer for fun—but here we are, a decade later.

My blog incorporates elements of my background in magazine journalism to create a unique digital destination for readers to visit and discover my perspective on new fashion trends, beauty products, travel guides, career advice, and life in New York City.

I’ve built an online community of over 100,000+ across my platforms sharing beauty, fashion and lifestyle content.

In addition to blogging, I have previously worked as an editor at Interview and NYLON. My writing has appeared in some of the top print and digital publications in the world including Interview, NYLON, The Cut, Refinery29, Fashionista, and more.

I also went on to work as the beauty content director at a tech startup before going full-time with content creation in 2021.

I share new blog posts, YouTube videos and episodes of my podcast Create & Consume every week.

As a creator, I’ve partnered with brands like HoneyBook, Adobe, The New York Times, Kohl’s, Glossier, Walmart, HelloFresh and more on sponsored content and have been quoted in Business Insider, Forbes, Business of Fashion, and Adweek discussing business of influence.

I’ve also been a guest on several industry podcasts and have spoken on numerous panels and workshops.

On a weekend you can find me at a brewery, sitting by the waterfront with my friends or hanging out in a local coffee shop.

I graduated from Barnard College in New York City with a degree in art history.
